SoundCloud for Desktop の話

※但し、Mac版に限る。

みんな大好き SoundCloud のDesktop app が App Store から姿を消し、さらにはいつの間にか再生もできなくなり、サードパーティ製作の CloudPlay も同様に使い物にならなくなってからこっち、ずっと使用はブラウザ上に限られていたんだけど、なんとなくwebを検索してみたらこんなTweetが引っかかった。

なんと！
再生できる！！すてき！！！

他にデスクトップアプリとしては SoundCleod ってのもあるんだけど、やっばり慣れた UI の方が使いやすいよねということで(今は)上記のものを使っている。

ちなみに公式からは今後 Desktop app に関してはフォローしないよ、という声明は出ている。

Due to resources, maintaining the Mac desktop app became a bit too difficult, so it's now been discontinued. We're currently focusing our energies on making the web experience, and Android and iOS apps, as good as they can be.

確かに iOS をアンプに直結した方がメモリにも負担がかからないし合理的ではあるのか。
